TikTok Comment Generator: Make a Reply-to-Comment Sticker

What the reply sticker is

When you answer a comment with a video on TikTok, the app pins that comment to your video as a small white card: the commenter's profile photo, a grey “Reply to username's comment” line, and the comment in bold underneath. It tells the viewer why the video exists before you say a word, which is why reply videos open so well.

The catch is that TikTok only adds the sticker when you record or upload the reply inside TikTok. Edit in CapCut or Premiere first, or post the same video to Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, and the sticker isn't there. This generator makes the same card as an image, with a transparent background, so you can put it on any video in any editor.

How to add it in CapCut or Premiere Pro

1. Type the username and the comment above, add a profile photo if you have one, and download the PNG.
2. CapCut: open your project, tap Overlay, then Add overlay, and pick the image. The background stays transparent.
3. Premiere Pro: import the PNG and drop it on the track above your video. It keeps its transparency, so no keying is needed.
4. Scale it down to about half the frame width and put it in the upper third, where TikTok puts its own. Keep it clear of the caption and the buttons along the right edge.
5. Leave it up for the first three to five seconds, or the whole video if the comment is the whole point.

Why a transparent PNG at 3×

The sticker downloads at three times its on-screen size, so it stays sharp when you scale it on a 1080 × 1920 vertical video. A JPG would put a white or black box around the card. PNG keeps only the card and its little speech-bubble tail.

Can you make up the comment?

Plenty of creators write the prompt themselves. A storytime needs a question to answer, and nobody asked it yet. That's a setup, and most viewers read it as one. The line is other people. Don't put a real person's username or photo on a comment they never wrote, and don't make a real account look like it said something ugly. That's impersonation, which TikTok's rules and most other platforms' don't allow, and it's the kind of thing that gets a video reported. Use a made-up handle or your own alt, and keep the comment one a real follower might plausibly ask.

Reply formats that work

• The question you get every time. Answer it once, properly, and pin the video.
• “Part 2?” The sticker tells new viewers there's a part 1 worth finding.
• “Prove it.” A doubtful comment followed by the receipts is its own genre.
• The hot take. Put a disagreeing comment up and respond to it calmly. It gets watched to the end.

Making it look like the real thing

Short comments read best. Viewers take in the sticker in about a second, so one line beats three. TikTok usernames are letters, numbers, underscores and periods with no spaces, so a handle like jordan.m or not_jordanlooks right and “Jordan M” doesn't. Add a profile photo when you can. Without one the sticker shows a plain initial, which reads as a brand-new account and draws the eye. On TikTok the sticker sits over the video, so check it against both the brightest and the darkest moment of your clip.

Limitations

TikTok's app uses its own typeface, which websites can't use, so the text here is set in your device's system font. It's close on an iPhone or Mac and a little further off elsewhere. The generator makes the reply sticker only. It doesn't make the full comment section, like counts or the creator-liked heart. Comments are capped at 150 characters so the sticker stays sticker-sized.
